Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Legalia ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Legalia platform available at legalia.ph and its associated dashboard (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the Service.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and accept these Terms in full. If you are using the Service on behalf of a law firm or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Legalia is an AI-assisted legal document generation platform designed for Filipino legal professionals. The Service allows users to generate draft legal documents — including but not limited to affidavits, demand letters, and special powers of attorney — using AI-powered templates and user-supplied information.

The Service is a drafting aid only. It does not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or the practice of law. All generated documents must be reviewed, verified, and signed by a qualified attorney admitted to the Philippine Bar before use in any legal proceeding or official transaction.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to produce documents intended to defraud, deceive, or harm any person or entity.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce the AI models, templates, or proprietary systems underlying the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with any third party.
  • Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair its infrastructure.
  • Upload or input any personal data of third parties without their lawful consent.
  • Represent generated documents as the independent work product of a licensed attorney when they are not.

5. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are liable for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at legalia.ph@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.

6. Pricing and Payments

The Service offers a free plan at no cost, subject to the usage limits described in Section 7. Access to the full document catalogue and to premium features is available through paid plans, charged in Philippine Peso (PHP) and processed through our authorized payment provider. We currently offer the following paid options:

  • Single-document unlock. A one-time payment that unlocks one document for a fixed access period (currently 30 days), with unlimited regenerations and edits of that document and a bundled allotment of AI Polish credits, as specified on our pricing page.
  • All-Access pass. Access to the full document catalogue for a fixed period, as specified on our pricing page. The annual option is a one-time payment valid for one year. The monthly option (currently 30 days) may be offered either as a one-time payment or, where available, as an auto-renewing subscription, as indicated at checkout.

The single-document unlock and the annual All-Access pass are one-time payments and do not automatically renew. Nothing is auto-charged when that access period ends; your card is never charged again on its own. When access lapses, you may simply purchase again — unlock another document or renew the pass — whenever you choose.

Recurring payments (monthly All-Access). The single-document unlock and the annual All-Access pass are one-time payments and never auto-renew. Where the monthly All-Access pass is offered on an auto-renewing basis, you agree to the following recurring-payment authorization when you enroll:

By agreeing to recurring payments, the cardholder authorizes PayMongo to automatically deduct payment from the given credit/debit card account until he/she revokes such authorization. The payments shall be charged at the start of each billing cycle, which shall be dependent on the agreed products/plans. After the processing of payment, the Merchant shall reach out to the cardholder if his/her payment is successful or not. PayMongo shall not be held liable for the Merchant's failure to notify the cardholder regarding the payment status. The cardholder further acknowledges and agrees that the billing cycle and amount to be deducted are dependent on the instructions made by the Merchant to PayMongo.

For Legalia's recurring monthly All-Access pass, the “Merchant” is Legalia, the billing cycle is every 30 days, and the amount charged is the then-current monthly fee shown at checkout before you confirm. You may revoke this authorization (cancel auto-renewal) at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops all future charges; your access continues until the end of the current paid period and will not renew thereafter.

Refunds. You may request a refund within 7 days of your payment, provided that no paid document has been generated or unlocked under that payment. Refund requests can be submitted from Settings → Billing in your dashboard. Once reviewed, you will be notified by email of the outcome. Approved refunds will be returned to your original payment method.

Refunds are not available if: (a) more than 7 days have passed since the payment date; (b) a document has been generated or unlocked under that payment; or (c) a refund for the same payment has already been processed or denied. Because paid access is granted for a fixed period, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time within an access period. If you cancel an auto-renewing plan, future charges stop but the current paid period is not refunded.

We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. Any change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect; access you have already paid for is not affected.

7. Access Periods and Usage Limits

The free plan includes a periodic document-generation quota as specified on our pricing page. Unused generations do not carry over to the next period, and we may modify the free-plan quota with reasonable notice.

Paid access — whether through a single-document unlock or the All-Access pass — is valid only for the fixed period stated at the time of purchase. When that period ends, the associated paid access ends, but your account, saved documents, and generation history remain intact and available, subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, AI models, template frameworks, and all other proprietary elements, is owned by Legalia and protected under applicable Philippine and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service solely for your internal professional purposes.

Documents you generate using the Service are yours. We do not claim ownership over the output documents you produce.

9. Data and Privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT AI-GENERATED DOCUMENTS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, LEGALLY SUFFICIENT, OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR LEGAL PURPOSE. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE INDEPENDENTLY REVIEWED BY A LICENSED ATTORNEY.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY PHILIPPINE LAW, LEGALIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING DAMAGES FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED DOCUMENTS — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email or via a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.
